Where the journey of companionship begins with integrity, care, and a deep-rooted passion for the Golden Retriever breed. Our family-led endeavor is more than just a breeding program—it's a testament to the bond between humans and their canine companions.
Our journey with Golden Retrievers began long before The Golden Virtues came into existence. Raised amidst the loving and gentle presence of Goldens, I always dreamed of one day raising my own, adhering strictly to breed standards and health protocols to ensure the continuation of their magnificent lineage.
In 2021, this dream took form when Faith entered my life. Faith, our founding Golden Retriever, has been at the heart of our journey. Together we embarked on an enlightening path of learning, training, and competing. Faith was not just a pet but a partner who helped me overcome shyness, navigate the complexities of dog shows, and delve into the intricacies of canine health and training. Through her, I've learned the importance of resilience, dedication, and the unbreakable bond shared between a dog and its owner.
At The Golden Virtues, we place the health and temperament of our dogs above all. We understand that a happy life for a Golden Retriever is built on the foundation of excellent health and a balanced temperament. That's why all our dogs are:
Our Commitment to Health and Temperament
These steps ensure that each dog from The Golden Virtues is a prime example of what makes Golden Retrievers one of the most beloved breeds in the world.
We live on a 1-acre property in a small town in Utah. Our dogs are well-mannered, house-trained, and spoiled with endless toys, beds, and blankets. Our fenced backyard provides shaded areas and plenty of space for playtime. Living near the mountains, we often take our dogs hiking for free-range exercise, while also enjoying controlled walks through our peaceful town.
Our dogs are raised in a loving environment, surrounded by our four children and the occasional curiosity of our chickens and cats. We ensure they receive high-quality nutrition, having tried a variety of top-rated foods such as TLC Whole Food.
When we decided to welcome a breed-standard Golden Retriever for showing, it took extensive research, patience, and three years on a waiting list before we finally brought Faith home. We are dedicated to improving the breed with every generation.
Founded in 2021, The Golden Virtues stands as a beacon for those who seek not just a dog, but a true family member—a Golden Retriever that will bring joy, companionship, loyalty, and a touch of virtue into their lives.
